St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School in Bradford West Gwilimbury allowed kids grade 1-7 to bring in and use there technology in the classroom.
On Monday morning the school invited other staff from other schools along with staff from the school board to join classes as the kids were given the opportunity to share there knowledge of iPad and other computer technology applications in the classroom.
The kids were able to demonstrate many skills such as problem solving using a math learning application, one class made riddles for others to solve using drawing software called sketch book and then put them in a slide show to present to the class, the use of technology allows for the kids to collaborate as the school only has 1 iPad for every 3 kids.
Many people believe that technology in the class is a disadvantage but teachers say it makes it easier for the kids to learn and also makes it easier on the teachers ti collect the work and grade more efficiently.
